Rocky Beach - 1

Oil on canvas, 5" x 7" (Sold)   This small oil study was the 1st in an ongoing series of oils of  Lake Michigan's rocky shoreline, completed in 2008.   The painting is now leaving my studio and going to its new home in Santiago, Chile!

Crystal River Wetlands - 2 in progress

Oil on canvas, 24" x 36"   This is the 2nd oil in a series of oils focusing on the Crystal River in Leelanau County. I have decided to keep this piece as soft as possible and quite understated. It is very close to completion... I have been looking at it for several months now, afraid to carry it too far to the point of being overworked.

Towering Clouds

Oil on canvas, 18" x 24"    There is such wonder in looking over the distant fields and gazing  up at the sky filled with billowing clouds on a late summer afternoon. Just makes you want to dream!  Giclee prints available for purchase.  

Sailboats on Reeds Lake

Oil on canvas, 10" x 10" ea.  - I thought I would post something different than my usual landscapes.... I am fascinated with the sailboats on Reeds Lake.  Just an exploration of color and design in a square format.
