Edge of the Lake no. 3
Oil on canvas, 24" x 30" This painting is another variation of a northern Michigan lake that has been the focus of several paintings over the past 10 years. I am leaving this piece a little unfinished for fear of overworking the lily pads and ending up with a stiff painting that is so, so easy to have happen!

Farm at Port Onieda no.4
Oil on board, 8" x 10" - This small work is the 4th in a series of oils of a homestead in the Sleeping Bear Dunes park in northwestern Michigan. I have purposely left it loose with not a lot of detail because it is more of a study in color and composition. Chances are good that this piece will be developed into a larger painting in the near future.

Beach near Frankfort
Oil on canvas, 10" x 20" While passing through Frankfort last summer, I came upon this low lying dune hugging the shoreline near the harbor. It was a warm sunny day and I attempted to capture the brilliant sunlight in the early afternoon.
